Application framework for plagiarism detection in source code

Plagiarism gains momentum as the Internet is used more every day. The cases where one's freely downloadable material is offered as someone else's, with material gains are not rare. All of this initiates a search for tools that can fight this illegal behavior. The idea is to create applications which could detect plagiarism even in its smallest form.

Therefore, a framework is developed for applications which will detect plagiarism in source code. As a framework, it allows for developing and testing of new plagiarism detection algorithms, as well as algorithms for analyzing code from different programming languages. An example algorithm is presented that produces abstract syntax trees from source code and uses them to compare similarity.
